Progress on little Joshua's blanket continues at a pace
All other knitting and crochet has been put to one side to try and finish this by next Thursday... 5 more squares and a border left. My favourite square so far is the third row down, second from the left; yellow, white and blue. I think these would be great colours for a complete blanket. Which is your favourite?
I think I may have been inspired by this wonderful ceiling:
I walk past it every day and I thought it was about time I took a photo. It is Bennetts bar on Bennetts Hill in Birmingham; I think it used to be a bank.
There are lots of fabulous buildings with amazing details really near my office, I'll try and take a few photos over the next couple of weeks. Here are two I took the other day

I like all of them, although the one you love does stand out the most perhaps because of the light cream used in the centre. I think the blanket will be wonderful when it is finished.
I quite like the top left one but so many of them are beautiful.
That ceiling is amazing! My two favourites are the bottom right hand corner (yellow) and the red one just above it. :)
I like the green squares! That ceiling is lovely, sometimes it is so important to look around us as it is easy to take things for granted. I will make a point of finding beautiful things around me!
that ceiling looks very similar to your favourite crocheted square...i love them all but I am thinking of making the babette blanket out of all my 4ply yarn bits!
I love the blanket - it's so beautiful. And the ceiling is great, and so is the new pinkness of the blog. X
I think all the squares are gorgeous! The blanket is going to be beautiful.
