Tweeting a Mystery

Alice at Socktopus has been running a shawl Knit-a-long on Twitter over the past few weeks. I was a bit of a loss as what to knit, so I thought I'd join in. Aurantium Blossom is turning into an amazing shawl...

Aurantium Blossom 003

Knit in Posh Daisy 4ply (the bamboo merino mix) in a colourway called "Round Midnight"

Aurantium Blossom 004

Potentially a little too varigated for this pattern - but I kinda like it.

Aurantium Blossom 005

Even though the orange blossom lace isn't quite as clear as it would be with a more solid colour.
I think this is going to end up being curved like the aeolian (as I tried to stretch it out straight today and it just didn't work!) The last clue is released at 10pm on Monday. I'm hoping to finish before next Friday so it can be gifted :o)

Lovely yarn too.

This is looking beautiful :-)

I had lunch with Alice last Thursday, and can tell you that the finished shawl is beautiful :-)

As my phone belongs in a museum, Twitter is a mystery to me too, but I managed to join and find the pattern online. As usual for me, a KAL will find me starting to knit long after everyone else has finished :-)

That's just stunning! And the colourway is fine - I think the varigation adds to the beauty of it. Gorgeous.

It's looking lovely. I was wondering how the second section would look - I've not even finished the transition chart yet. Slightly regretting going for a laceweight with the "making 9 sts from 3" bit. ;-)
