February Lady Sweater

Guess what? I have finally managed to make a garment that actually fits me! Wanna see?
FLS Finished 001
Pattern: February Lady Sweater
Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted in Cuarzo - 5 skeins
Needles: 5mm
Started: 29th September 2008
Finished: 15th January 2009
Comments: It fits! I am still a little shocked about that, depsite the fact I could try on as I went. I love it :o) Everyone at the Posh meet up yesterday loved it too - which made me very excited.
A great pattern, all apart from the maths needed to work out where to put the increases after the yoke. However you can use this great tool to work it all out for you!
The Malabrigo is gorgeous. I know it will pill, but hey you have to pay a price for that softness!
Do you want to see the buttons?
FLS Finished 002
They are from House of Fraser
How about the side?
FLS Finished 003
The back too? Ok, go on then!

Gorgeous! I bet the yarn is deliciously soft as well. Make me realise that my decision not to knit this pattern til I am able to splurge on knitting it in DIC Smooshy is a good one. Subtly variegated yarns definitely look best!

It's lovely, the pattern, yarn and buttons! Lucky you, wearing malabrigo! My malabrigo scarf is just fine, no bobble, but (obviously) all my wristers do pill. I just cut off the bobbles, and give it the occasional shave. It might just pill where your arms rub against the sides. It's worth it though, looks fab.

I meant to ask what size you made - I am really interested in this pattern but am not very good at converting bust sizes to UK dress sizes! Any help would be appreciated :o)

It's lovely and it really suits you. I've bought the yarn for this so thanks for inspiring me to get on with actually doing the knitting!

Luvly!! Very, very luvly!!

[One of my motivations for loosing weight is so I don't have to use SO many balls of yarn when I do knit the Feb. Lady Sweater!]

Gorgeous! I really want to knit one for myself. I think it will be my reward when I finish all the knitting for my soon to be born niece or nephew!

It not only fits, it's gorgeous! What a beautiful colour. It's a lovely pattern to work, isn't it? (I've done 3 adult size so far - and the baby version)

Ruth, you look lovely in your cardigan, gorgeous knitting and fab colour. Love the latest post too, all your G's were a good read....I would buy that dress if it pleases you, I wore myself out making mine, although, I still adore my dress. Hope your neck gets better soon, sounds like a job for a chiropracter to me. I usually get one of those trapped nerves hen i am feeling a bit low, Jan/Feb is a horrid time of year for depression...
